Genuine Miele vacuum cleaner dust-bag holder torsion spring 6434090 (also 06434090). This spring secures the dust-bag holder (bracket 6034090) so the bag stays locked and the holder springs correctly on S5xxx, SFxxx and Complete C2 cylinder vacuums.

What it does / when to replace

The torsion spring holds the dust-bag bracket under tension. Replace it if the bag holder will not stay engaged, feels loose, or no longer springs back so the dust compartment lid cannot close correctly.

Fitment & care notes

• Place the coiled section of the spring over the cross-shaped pin in the centre of the bag holder, then hook both spring arms behind the holder clips.
• Refit the bag holder into the housing guides until it clicks. The dust lid will only close with a bag fitted.
• Also used to secure bag holder 6034090 on S5xxx, SFxxx and Complete C2 machines.
